Under the direction of people with incomparable experience in the management of such a complex aspect of the business, our 19^th century Grade II listed building was originally constructed as a maltings for a brewery. The requirements then were similar to today, to minimise alterations in external heat and light. Metre thick solid brick walls serve this purpose supported by the most technologically advanced climate control equipment.

Our approval within the strict protocol set by HM Revenue & Customs allows you to store your wine ‘under bond’, thus deferring payment of excise duty and VAT until removed. Auction sales are facilitated under this regime, as stock does not have to be moved – a change in ownership is simply notified to us for the transactions to be completed.

The latest camera technology permits online digital photography to be used to thoroughly check all items necessary for condition reports. Using LCB’s vehicles we can provide next day deliveries to London and other major centres, and of course arrange collection from anywhere.
